ChildSafeMedia ran an innovative lucky dip stall in Chennai Public School Global, Anna Nagar for Pongal Mela on 8th Jan 2017.
Every participating kid took an age-appropriate media safety quiz on tablet devices, then played the lucky dip and won exciting prizes! We are happy to report, most kids had their basic ideas right - sometimes helped a wee bit by the enthusiastic mommies! :) The children were very communicative and were more than happy to share their thoughts about their screen times.
ChildSafeMedia experts explained our mission of media safety for children and took parents through our work, to understand the impact of media and how they could put media and technology to more constructive and productive uses in their lives.
All parents who visited the stall were unanimous in voicing their concern regarding media and their children, while welcoming our initiatives and signing up to receive more information on the ChildSafeMedia website and workshops.
